As most may have noticed the the dash tray has been changed on the 4xe to accommodate the LED charging light array so most if not all of the on dash phone holders will not work. I Purchased the Bullet Point Mount which is basically a 67 Design Knock off except 1/2 the price.

Let me start by saying is is a quality mount that is all metal construction and will handle the trails well.

Anyway. The mount does not fit the 4xe without a minor modification. Pictured below is the base and all you need to do is cut 3/8" off the base leg, this will allos it to lay flat and fit the 4xe dash tray. That is is simple hacksaw job and you are good to go.

I actually just bought this one and am using it now. It's pretty awesome, plugs in the cig lighter which has no use to me, and it has extra USB ports. I bought this one because it gives off the power levels on it so I thought it was cool. Very sturdy and you can move it around. I've placed it just under the radio. Still can see volume controls. Only thing it covers up is max Regen so using that means looking around the device but once I get a tazer to latch that, it won't be necessary to hit that button. I also like this more than the ones that people install on the dash because it's less of an eye sore.

I tried for nearly 3 years to use a magnetic phone holder, it was OK on the pavement but offroad or potholes there are no magnets strong enough to hold the phones.

That's a very valid point. Will see how it goes. But love the ease of just placing it on without having to clamp it

Most of the clamps I see nowadays use one fixed side and an opposite live side that is pushed aside to engage the clamp. One-handed operation, and much easier than the old ones.

Agree that magnets are not the best on rough terrain,

What kind of phone do you have? Just curious to know how heavy your phone is. I like this idea.

I went with the Carolina Metal Masters A pillar 20mm ball mount with a 67 designs nano arm and 67d phone mount. I ran a usb cable down along the trim and into the center storage console USB outlet.

I really really like it, I am left handed, so the location is ok for me, and it doesn't block anything.

I put the same setup on the passenger side.

I bought a cheap bike handlebar clamp mount and put it on the grab bar on the A pillar. Doesn’t block the view much more than the A pillar already does and keeps the phone at eye level. Ran a long usb cord under the trim pieces to the ports on dash

I started with a Ram mount (RAM-DT-204-TRACK-A12U) that I had in my Gladiator that I traded for my Rubicon 4xe.

I made a paper template to insure that it would work. After a couple of different paper templates I was ready to remove a 7” x 1-3/4” section from the Ram mount to clear the charging LED’s. I also removed a 7-1/2” section from the plastic mount. This is where I am right now.

I have a Ram mount 5 inch modular tough track (RAM-TRACK-EXA-5BU) on order to mount on the bracket. I will update this post when I have it mounted.

Edit: I did find Tough-Track 2.43” (RAP-TRACK-A2U) that should give it a more finished look.
