I want to remove this safety bracket and heard it’s a pain. Anyone here take it off, any pointers?

Thank you very much Terrymo!
No problem. The overall length of the bolts including the head are about 6 inches. Thread the bolt out as far as the space will allow, then cut off the bolt as close to the frame as you can without marring the frame with the Sawzall blade. I used a Sawzall with a short metal cutting blade. Then used vise grips to back out the remainder of the bolt.

Yeah, annoyingly Jeep seems to have installed the bracket to the frame before the body got mounted, so there's no way to get the bolts out without cutting them shorter.

Getting this stupid bracket off is on my to-do list. I doubt it's doing anything useful anymore anyways since my tires and wheels are not even remotely the same size or position as OE spec.
