Parking Break - Dash Light Indicator

Noticed this just the other day that the dash light indicator "BRAKE" is not illuminated when I engage the parking break. Any ideas?

I had the same issue. Dealership replaced the whole handle, I guess the switch is built into it. Works fine now.
