A follow up: the RC second generation bracket works like a champ. Apparently they changed the design a month or so ago and reduced the push out and increased the push up. With my 4.5 backspace and 37 inch tire the new bracket is perfect. If you are having issues, check out the new RC bracket but be sure to order from someone who has the new version.

Wanted to give an update on my experience. With 4.25 backspacing and 37x13.5 Open Country R/T’s I was having this issue 100% of the time, but more recently it became sporadic. Even to the point where there would be a day when it wouldn’t go off at all. This week it came and went, but after rotating my tires Wednesday, I haven’t had any issues. My theory is that the small amount of rubber worn off after ~ 3K miles made the difference.

PS, I’m running the upgrades Mopar tire carrier/tire lift.
