Lift, wheels, and tires are going on after our trip to Moab in 2 weeks. It was so nice outside today I decided to see what all black wheels looked like so I gave them a good once over.

Looks great! I gave powder coating some consideration but sold mine instead and bought black wheels. Your's however look great !

Rustoleum self etching primer followed by rustoleum semi gloss.

That looks really really sharp. I'm torn right now, I want to do everything to my new JLU Sport S, but my wife says we still need money for food. I was planning on Plastidip'ing my JL Sport wheels, but this looks like a much better option. Did you remove each wheel and do it, did you remove the tire? Would love some additional details about your method. Thanks in advance.

I sanded everything on the wheel with scotch brite. Cleaned everything with wax and grease remover. I taped everything off with blue painters tape then covered the tire with plastic.

I used self etching primer to get a great bond. Then rattle can rustoleum.

It was pretty easy.
