I've been looking at getting my Rubicon wrapped before it starts hitting the trails. I've gotten 2 quotes for Xpel for $3900 and $3200. I also got a quote for the self healing Llumar for $2750. This is to do the whole jeep minus the fender flares, top of the roof and tailgate. Still have a couple more places to check but right now it looks like Llumar will be going on it. If anyone recommends a place around KC let me know.

Keep looking, I paid $1600 for a full 3M wrap including fender flairs

I wish I could find something that cheap around here. I just got another quote to do Xpel and it was $4k. I can't seem to find anyplace that does 3M around Kansas City.

If you have not already try calling some window tint shops.

After two windshield cracks in less than a week, I'm curious as to how well this would work on the windshield. I know that it is not designed for this. I'm just tired of having to replace windshields all the time.

They do make a film to go over the windshield. They only last a couple months to a year from what I've been told.

Did they use precut pieces on yours? If so was your hood 2 separate pieces?
Yes most were pre-cut I think the only ones that were not were the rear quarter panels. Hood is one piece they actually had to do it twice as they said is is a complicated install with all the angles.

I just got mine wrapped and I'm really not happy with it. They used two pieces for my hood and there is a visible gap between them. There are also gaps all over the jeep where they didn't get to the edges. Around the door handles have big gaps and around the windows.

Did they go all the way up to your window seals or did they leave gaps around them?

I specifically did not want the door window frames covered however did the front window frame There should be a very small gap around the door handles and key holes the official pattern cut pieces give the installer a little room to work. however you have to look close to see the lines. All the door edges and hood should wrap around all the exterior edges so on the doors the only noticeable edge is the handle and key holes.

Here are some pictures. I don't know if I'm overly anal about it or if this is bad.

What brand of film did you have installed. I ask because some brands to not have the templates. Also your appears to have some orange peel which is a know issue with films like xpel and a couple others.

I would not be happy either some of those pieces look like they were cut in with a knife with is why the inconsistancies

It is Llumar platinum. They have a plotter and use Xpel's templates I believe.

They also used rolls that were too narrow which is why you have the two piece hood, it is not suppose to be like that
