Getting Nemesis off-road aluminum fender flares front and rear. Also aluminum corners to protect the rear, and finally an aluminum tire carrier from GenRight.

My builder suggested leaving it all raw. At least for now, he suggested painting it if anything for color because powdercoat can’t be touched up anywhere nearly as easy as paint can be.

Paint or powder would be colored to match or accent the Jeep with a clear coat on top.

Paint I can get perfectly matched with color code, powdercoat not so much. Just have to pick the closest color to it (which isn’t extremely close at all)

Also Powdercoat chips off in big thick chunks which is super annoying when it happens, and it seems to be much more fragile than it’s reputation would lead one to believe.

So what do you guys think? Pick up to 2 options

Paint?
Powdercoat??
Leave it RAW???

Why not line x in an accent color or match close to paint color? Much more durable than paint or powder coat. It sounds like you're building it to take some abuse.

POR 15 undercoat, bed liner topcoat. Super durable, able to be touched up.

I definitely wouldn't paint it. Your front tires are going to fling rocks at the front of the rear fenders and chip away at the paint just from regular driving.

That’s the goal is I want it to be as durable as possible but still look good

I've seen your posts enough to see you not exactly pinching pennies on this build. Why not anodized? If they can't match, and accent color would be nice. Barring that, I say clear.

I’m not trying to pinch any pennies on this build. That being said...

You sir are a fucking GENIUS!!!

I didn’t think of anodized but that’s an absolutely great idea! It’s 9/10 on the Mohs hardness scale (meaning second only to diamond) so it’s extremely durable/scratch resistant and beautiful!!!

That’s why I started this thread I knew some of you guys had to have some better ideas than me for these parts. Love this site and all the great members in here!!! :jk::muscle:

Thank you so much for the great idea, if you’re ever in the area or we go wheeling I owe you a few beers!

Cheers!

Now the only debate is what color. I’m strongly thinking black anodized would look SICK AF on those parts against the Granite Crystal...

The more I think about the anodized the more I’m totally in love with it

Scratch proof, will never chip or fade, never needs touched up, do it once and done, looks incredible.

I love the smooth finish it will leave compared to bed liner which was my top choice till this recommendation.

Winner winner chicken dinner!!!
