Uh, I just leased a 2023 Rubicon 4xe and drove it for the first time today. I remember the salesman saying something about the car not being able to drive on all electric at a certain speed, and that there needs to be 1/4 tank of gas or you can't run it in electric, and some other things. So I went to the owner's manual and I don't see anything about managing EV anywhere. I went to the Mopar website and don't see an owner's manual for 4xe either. Where are the official Jeep owner's manual instructions for the 4xe? Sorry for such a dumb question.

First thing is don’t listen to the sales people. Especially about the 4xe.

Find the real manual with a Google search. It has everything you need. It’s almost 400 pages. I save it under my reading list for quick reference on my iPod.

@El Hefe is right, and I can also that I had a ‘23 4xe and there was a supplement/different book/file dealing with all the EV stuff

@[B]Bill_BCNtoNY[/B] thank you. That is exactly what I needed. I did a quick Google search for "4xe owner manual" in Google but I didn't see that in any of the returned results. Might have overlooked it, I don't know.

@[B]El Hefe[/B] I certainly didn't listen that closely to the sales person, but after what he said I figured I'd just learn all about the capabilities/limitations later when I read the manual. Assuming I would be able to easily find that manual!

Yeah, everything he told you was completely wrong. There are no such limitations. You can cruise with an almost empty gas tank in electric on the freeway.

They want you have some gas in the tank because the total electric range is horrible. You will only see in real life 30-35 miles in battery only driving. Don’t want you to be stranded

30-35 miles of range, so you were getting 50% more than the advertised range and you say it's horrible?

It's a PHEV it's not meant to go long distances on electric, that's what the gas tank is for.

My September driving pretty much all electric, and gas as needed for longer trips.

Appreciate all the helpful comments and suggested links. I will definitely check out those supplemental resources. My main concern was with the missing official Jeep 4xe piece, which was linked to above by @Bill_BCNtoNY as the Jeep hybrid "supplement."

I plan to go back to the dealership and ask them for a hard copy of it to include with the standard Jeep manual in my glove compartment. I don't know why they didn't provide it to me when I drove off the lot, or why I couldn't easily find it after logging into my personal dashboard on the Mopar site. Seems to be an oversight on my dealer's end.

It exists, as evidenced from this pic pulled from ebay. And they should, especially for Jeep owners who might find themselves in a remote area with a drained digital device who didn't think to print it out before hand (which is harder to do because home printers have gone the way of the dodo bird).
