Update started yesterday afternoon, and screen is still the same.

We were out with the Jeep when prompted to update. It gives zero prior warning or indication that once it begins, you are not supposed to drive the vehicle. Once update begins, then it states not to drive. We had no choice, and drove it until we were back home.

Low and behold, the same message is on the display still today. I pulled the fuse which removed power to the radio, but it returns to the same screen once fuse is replaced.

Any tips or tricks other than a dealer visit?

I received no warnig that the vehicle should not be driven during the update. But I still decided to use a different vehicle and let Jeep finish the update. Everything was finished after about 30 minutes without any issues. But I did not notice any changes. Does anyone know what was updated?

Try to force the screen to display something different. Go into dealer mode by holding the following buttons simultaneously on steering wheel: Heat Up, Cool Down, Defrost.

I attempted all the button combos I could find on the Internet. It denies any and all input, just laughs at me....

Dealer update #2: Needs radio for certain. They tried bringing the radio back to life by removing both batteries from the equation. This did nothing for the radio, but they were unable to start the Jeep after reconnecting the batteries. They had to replace the "star" connector, now the Jeep starts as normal.

Getting a loaner and they will keep the Jeep until new radio arrives...whenever that is.

The update bricked my radio on March 14th. ETA on a replacement is May 6th.... seriously?

@JeepCares - 2 months for a replacement?
Sorry to hear that, cram501. I can certainly dig in further with you regarding this situation, although I cannot guarantee any certain outcome. Send us a PM to get started.
