This is very true. But please don’t take up two parking spaces. Just don’t. (Not implying the above member does.)

Nothing screams “I’m a narcissist!” louder than parking one car in two parking spots. Use only one spot as far away as you need to go to be fairly certain nobody will park next to your pride and joy.

Ive tried to park wayyyy out where there was nobody but there are ALWAYS people who park right next to me when there are literally 100 spots open. Its the most annoying thing ever. So taking up two spots is the best way to go, either that or one spot on the end. Its not narcissistic to take up two (as long as there are TONS of open spots) - its called taking care of your car to make sure all the people who could careless about their cars and denting someone else's don't park next to you.

With my 2-door JK I take up less than one space .

However , I have seen some giant pick-ups which could never fit into one space . I don't begrudge them ; the problem is the parking space dimensions , which are too small for many vehicles .

He actually only needs one, and he only parked there long enough to take the photo to show the Jeep guys he offroads with. My dad is a retired cop, so we know better than to park in front of the fire hydrant outside of our parents' house (where this photo was taken).

I’m a heavy user of the end spot too. I completely get that. A good end spot is like an aisle seat on an airplane.

I was talking more about people who park over top of parking lot lines rather than between them like the proletariat.

I suspect that it also depends upon your area of the country. In Texas, we have pretty large parking lots at most of the male or big box stores, so there are a lot of empty parking spots most of the year. If you want to park at the far edge of the parking lot and take two spots, it is not going to affect anyone. Just remember to drink plenty of water so you don't get heat stroke walking to your parking spot.

I've seen this on the EAST coast and the WEST coast--a guy takes two parking spots to protect the :"CUSTOM" cars body/paint and sure as H#LL--a D.S. will notice that and "KEY" the paint--

I rarely take my RAM/JEEP to any BIG CITY STORES !

I'm the guy that, if you take 2 parking spots relatively close to the destination, I will park next to you as if you're only in one (probably closer), defeating the purpose of parking in 2 spots. I get enjoyment out of it. I even parked with 1 side of my jeep on an island once because someone parked in 2 spots, on an end, real close to the destination.

Other than that, I park far back, away from others. Often times people still park next to me, but never got a door ding from it.
