Do you have an xr? If so, that's the jack base to accommodate for the axle height due to lift and tires. I see your avatar is an xr.

Jeep actually sells a better version of this concept. I can't believe it wasn't included with the XR, and that they ship this little thing instead.

That is the jack spacer, which is included with the Xtreme Recon package.

Jeep actually sells a better version of this concept. I can't believe it wasn't included with the XR, and that they ship this little thing instead.

The disadvantage of the Mopar part is that it sits proud in the storage bin, which prevents the lid from closing/lying flat. Possibly that's why the smaller piece was included with the OP's vehicle.

I have the mopar one and it’s pretty bulky. May be better off-road, but you’re just using the jack to raise the axle tube enough to change the retire.
