Well I am grateful for the honesty that Oracle has had in the last few days in this thread. It is clear that I will not be doing any business with a company like this. But I am glad that they are not hiding anything. It is quite clear that they do not appreciate customers once they have their money. If I had been taken for that much money I would be very vocal on several platforms. But that's just me....

Same here! I'll make sure I'll spread the word about Oracle's lack of customer service in Jeep groups and forums. If this was a $100 knock off from Amazon then it would have been fine but I paid more than $1000 CAD for the lights.

I have been watching this thread, and the other threads with this complaint ever since I started shopping for LED headlights. My initial reaction was "that's just caused by the camera", and sure enough when I decided to take the plunge and order a set of the Oculus headlights for my JL, they turned out pure white, absolutely no hint of green in my set. Furthermore, I noticed that when I take pictures from ANY angle at all, they appear greenish, but from dead-nuts head on, they appear white. So to me, that was case closed. Until I saw the comparison photo in the pic in this thread...then I started to wonder again. But one day it occurred to me...all the pics i've seen of the "green" halos have been on grey/silver/black Jeeps. I've never seen them on brightly colored Jeeps...and the above pic is no exception. Grey Jeep has green-looking halos and bright red Jeep has very white-looking halos. So I wondered...could the color of the vehicle be affecting the camera's (or our) perception of the halo color? So I tried an experiment. I did a really crappy job of photoshopping the headlights out of the above pic and putting them next to each other on a black background. See the results:

Kinda what I suspected. The effect is barely apparent when you take the vehicle color out of the equation. As you can see, there is still green (or at least, less pure white) in the left halo, but that's close enough to be discounted as a camera effect. Now let me be clear that I don't consider this to be proof of anything. I suck at photoshop so take from it what you will. But i'm sticking with my opinion - this is a problem of perception, not an actual difference in the lights.

I might buy into this theory if both models in the above comparison pic didn't have the dark rubicon surrounds around the lights. With that surround on there it pretty clearly shows the difference and I for one still see green hue in your rough photoshop trimming.

Thank you for your test @TheRaven, we appreciate your time looking into this.

I am sorry if anyone is disappointed in our service, however we have provided variants of research to this thread to show that the color temperature is the same. All of the Oculus lights from every production run have been produced with the exact same LEDs with the exact same CCT. The DRL diffuser optics may enhance some color spectrums in certain settings or environment (dim light, bright light, outdoors, indoors, etc), but the LEDs themselves and light produced is white; 5500K CCT to be exact. We did make slight changes to enhance the white color but the measurement is the same of the 550K CCT.

We posted data from a full photometric test here if you'd like to take a look; the Chroma Map shows the DRL Halo LEDs are pure white despite DRL diffuser optics possibly enhancing certain color spectrums in certain settings from certain angles.

Trading headlights out due to someone not liking the color compared to others is not something we can offer. There are many manufacturing companies that make production changes based on feedback, however they do not go back and exchange product at a later time.

Furthermore the lights in question are more than a year old. They are operating perfectly and used often otherwise, they would not still be installed.

Lastly, you can view various feedback from customers on the product itself. We do not wish to upset anyone here, however I would like to keep a clear perspective of the overall positive feedback from this product.

  • “I absolutely love my Oracle Oculus Colorshift Bi-LED headlights for my Jeep JL! They were easy to install... said my husband :) . I opted for the 3 controllers so I can have full control of all the elements independent of each other using the app. No problems whatsoever. I love the look and get compliments everywhere I go.” – Randi Friedner
  • “I started with the Bi-Led headlights with Halo. Wow is all I can say. Not only look cool but the difference over my stock Rubicon JL halogens is huge. Yesterday I changed out my front turn signals and DLR's to Oracle led bulbs. Love the look. I am going to order fog light bulbs next. Tail lights also! Great customer service as well.” - Mark Sheklian
  • “Purchased the new 9” Oculus BiLED headlights they were beyond my expectations as far as quality and the brightness of the LED light! Kudo to Oracle for designing the headlights!” - Jeff Shapiro
  • “Installed in under 30 minutes. Easy instructions, plug and play. Super bright & looks great on my Jeep JLU. If I could give it a 10 out of 5 it would earn my vote! Definitely brighter than the factory halogen lights and makes the Jeep stand out. Only thing I would consider adding to the box is about 5 small zip ties to bundle the wires along the side... and if that’s the only thing that needs adding, then I say Oracle…you’ve done a fantastic job!” - Brandon Hood
  • “If I could have rated these 10 stars I would have! I just replaced the stock halogen headlights in my 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited Sport and I could not be happier! First, the installation of these lights was so much easier than I could have imagined and if I can install them, anyone can install them! The entire installation was 100% straightforward. I documented my experience of the installation in a video and I even did a 'nighttime' comparison of the two so you can see the difference. You simply cannot go wrong with these LED headlights and my favorite feature is hands down the halo that comes on auto-magically when you turn on the Jeep! I usually use my lights during the day and this halo feature just looks completely awesome! Bottom line is that these are worth every penny and look incredible.” – Travis Bongifli

I agree there's still "green" in there. I'm not sure if it's actually green or just our eyes interpreting it as green. But there's definitely a difference. My point is that I believe this is a problem of angle of view and surrounding color. The little bit of grey in the headlight recess is not going to make up for the big pile of red your eyes are taking in when you look at the red Rubicon. I have noticed on my headlights, if you take a pic head-on they are pure white, and as you move further off-axis, the color becomes more and more green. That effect is caused by the CCD in the camera (and also the "lens" covering the halo). That's not something that's up for debate. What IS up for debate is whether or not the "spectrum" of perceived color off-axis varies from halo to halo in the Oculus headlights, and my test is only one piece of evidence on that subject so it's far from conclusive. I would have to find someone who has the supposed "green" halos and do some angle testing in person for more evidence, and i've never seen a "green" set in person. They've all been pure white.

I think one of the easiest ways to evaluate the halo color is to view them in the dark. That way there is no effect from the surrounding color of the vehicle. I purchased and installed a pair of the Oculus Bi-LED headlights and the halos are bright white. I have several friends that have the same lights and all of theirs are bright white. They look and perform just as expected. I know I won't hesitate to purchase from Oracle in the future.

I have purchased both the Oracle Oculus Bi-LED headlight and the Oracle Side Track LED Lighting System I am extremely satisfied.

Both were installed by Oracle due to the lack of installation skills of the Jeep owner, Me. Three very small issues were present after the install. Oracle was notified within a couple days after the install of the issues. One was aiming, the other was a fuse in the wrong place for the power outlet on the dash. The third issue was related to the Side Track System.

EACH issue was promptly and professional handled by John and Scott. Oracle has additional lighting products in which I am interested.

I will not hesitate to purchase the items from Oracle thanks to their excellent customer service.

The Oculus light halos are perfectly white, both day time and night time. The flare seen in the picture is simply that, a flare in the iPhone camera lens.

Pictures of the Oculus and Sidetrack included below.

Why didn't I think to ask here first.
@ORACLElights I have asked a couple times on your website with no answer so maybe I can get one here.
Do these work on the export model with the electronic leveling? I like the look of them but with the price of shipping don't want to buy if they won't work. Luckily mine is red so they won't look green🤔

I totally agree perception of color can vary quite a bit depending on the individual and environment! The test of removing the body color of the jeeps is really interesting and I was curious to try it on my end as well. Here's what I found..

I took crops of the 2 separate images that were taken side by side in exact same lighting:

here they are with black:
Jeep Wrangler JL ORACLE Oculus Bi-LED Headlight Upgrade for the Jeep JL / JT headlights02

and here they are with white:

(images were not color corrected in any way)
(gray line down the center is just from overlapping/side by side files in photoshop)
(gray line shifts position because i was lazy and just took inconsistently positioned screen grabs of my photoshop test :) )

So I sent these photos to another person that used to have the bileds. He seems to feel mine are not as bright and on the greener side as well. Mine is on a black jeep. You can see the drastic difference between the rubicon leds I just installed vs the oracle bileds.

I can't find anyone else in los angeles to do a direct comparison. Thoughts? @ORACLElights

If the green hue is normal as oracle is claiming. Can others replicate the same color by taking some photos of the halos in the evening just before it gets dark. That way you can see the actual halo. I see a few people with greenish looking halos like mine, @xEDGEx included.

I asked @ORACLElights to take some raw photos of their halos and show me that it is in fact the same color. They just keep responding with the fact that all their lights use the same exact leds and therefore can't be different.

So I was able to meet up with someone tonight that has the bileds. First person I have seen other than myself with the headlights. His were much brighter, much whiter and looked much better. HIs headlights were even brighter.

I have a defective set that is not what I thought I was purchasing. I thought I was purchasing what he had and what others have and what is shown on the website.

I have emailed @ORACLElights and asked for a new set. I bought these in April of last year and even in September of last year I emailed them stating my concerns that the lights were not bright. They gave me the run around then and are again giving me the run around now.

I don't want these defective lights on my Jeep and this isn't what I paid for.

@ORACLElights please do the right thing and replace these with a brand new set that works as intended. Please.

See the attached photo. Mine is on the left and the other person's Jeep is on the right. His halos were almost double the brightness and way whiter. You can see his were way brighter in how they light up the center which mine never do.

I took these photos with the same camera. It is more evident in person that my set is defective.

Your lights are not defective and they do indeed work AS INTENDED.

The lights you parked next to are simply newer lights. We posted a video a few months ago that goes into detail regarding all the changes we made for these lights about a year ago.
