So for those of you who installed... if someone did not care to have DRL do you need to ground and jumper into the fuse box? Will the headlights just run with the plug and play without running the additional wires? Only ask because all I care about is better lighting at night.

I have the Morimoto smoked turn signals. I think they may not be quite as white as the oem’s. The oculus halos have a slight green tinge at certain angles in daylight. Head on they are very close to the Morimoto drls. At night they are the exact same.

Fantastic news. Just ordered the MXB's. Last piece for full LED conversion in the front!

Hi all, our team is doing some testing to find a solution. We will keep you updated.

@mfkoch07 Mark, there must have been a miscommunication about this; I do apologize for your wait. Please PM us your information and I will be sure that you get a call on Monday.
So I haven't posted anything publicly for the past week as I have been having some dialogue with Oracle.

As noted above, they asked for my contact info and did reply with another post on the following Monday. No phone calls however.

They still do not know how to proceed and committed to contacting me by this past Friday with some sort of resolution. This past Monday I also discovered that not only do I get the radio interference, but the left headlight has no high beam. I've been wondering why the high beam illumination seemed just mediocre and while driving to work that morning while I had the high beams on I hit a patch of fog and it was quite clear why the high beam light output was lacking. I contacted Oracle on Tuesday to start their RMA process for the defective light and discovered that the warranty had some less than customer friendly requirements.

They will not provide you with a replacement light when the purchased light is defective. You must remove it and return it for repair. You are responsible for shipping! If the returned light is not able to be repaired, then they will send you a replacement. There is no compensation for the effort required to remove and replace the defective light, in my case, removal of bumper and winch and doing it all over again when the light is returned.

I called the customer service person on Thursday and expressed my displeasure and spoke with a supervisor. I also requested a complete refund as they are unable to correct the issue with the interference with my radio. I was promised that the supervisor would call me on Friday before close of business with a technical person also on the line to provide me with a plan for resolution. As I expected, no call or email was received!

At this point I has removed the Oracle Occulus lights and am back to the OEM halogen housings with LED bulbs, certainly less than ideal but at least I have two functional headlights that don't interfere with my radio.

I certainly will not purchase Oracle products in the future.

I will provide an update should they somehow come through and provide the needed service recovery.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
@mfkoch07
Hope you get some resolution for this situation, being a forum sponsor w/ a new product line for the JL, I believe it would be in their best interest to get this handled ASAP and not on your dime for anything.
G'luck!

did you remove the DRL wiring to see if it eliminated the issue with interference?

You would think a company would have confidence in their tech support team's troubleshooting ability to determine if a replacement device is needed. Many people don't keep their headlights for a backup or they replaced them originally due to damage to their OEM's. Leaving someone without headlights and making them pay to return is not the sign of a company that stands behind their products. It's bad enough that the product failed and you have to take time away to remove and reinstall. I am happy with the light output but frustrated that my radio doesn't work well. I hope it works out for you.

As a rep for Oracle Lighting I am sorry to hear you are upset with our service. As we stated last week we were working to duplicate this issue on our Jeep JL with our Oculus headlight, and we are struggling to do so.

As I am sure the product specialist told you today, you actually dont have the Jeep Wrangler JL Oculus headlight but our 5769 JK headlights. This is why various troubleshooting has not worked as of yet. As we were basing all this off the Oculus headlight.

I assure everyone that Oracle does its best to find the resolution to any problem you bring to our attention. Sometimes this does take time and we need to complete proper troubleshooting to do so.

Any other questions or concerns please let me know and we will be happy to relay this to the techs and find a resolution.

I have a JL and if you would like my lights back to test, I would be more than happy to work with you guys on it. I understand stuff happens, I also know I have a 100% stock jeep in regards to electronics so either my lights are defective or something isn't compatible. You will most likely continue to struggle with duplicating the issue without getting products back that have the issue.

The flickering described above is going to happen with any Canadian Jeep having LED lights. If you purchased the MOPAR style headlights, the same concern would occur. It is because of the 6V DRL that is required by law for Canada.

You have two options really. You could get the TAZER part described to disable this feature, or you could go to the dealership (usually best if you know someone, so its FREE) and they can disable the DRL feature for you. This is really simple and usually the fastest way in my opinion and doesn't need extra parts. You have the halo as a DRL now and the DRL in the front of the vehicle, so you will still have the DRL required by law.

Regarding the fees for Canada. We can quote you now various UPS or USPS rates that include duties and taxes. Feel free to DM me your address and I can do that for you. Our team is also working toward adding more Dealers in Canada to service your area in hopes of preventing those import fees!

Please let me know if you have any further questions and our team is happy to assist you!
So to be clear, If I had a Canadian Jeep with halogens I wouldn't have any issues with the DRL's if I ran them trough the fuse box, and I wouldn't have any issues with flickering?

Thanks

Thank you very much for your offer. We confirmed there has been no change in the product so really all the product is the same, including the one we have on our Jeep.

We are still looking into it right now by trying to replicate the issue so I wouldn't suggest sending the part back until we have more information.

I appreciate you trying to assist us and we will certainly keep you informed.

Correct, you would not have any issues with flickering. You can manually turn it on/off or run it to a switch if you would like.

Ok, I'm confused.
I thought all Canadian Jeeps with default halogens need a Dealer or Tazer flash (due to Canadian laws requiring some sort of low voltage to the main lights so they act as DRL's).
Yes, the DRL rings on the Occulus wont flicker but the actual headlights will.
I'm pretty sure this was mentioned a few pages back......

I thought that only applies to Canadian Wranglers with LED's that are replaced with Oculus lights. I know my headlights don't come on till either the Auto engages due to darkness or I manually put them on so I wouldn't think the 6V DRL issue wouldn't apply to a halogen replacement as the DRL halo would get 12V from sharing power with the cigar lighter.
