I just ordered my oculus headlights so I cant speak to the details on radio interference from the halos...but I just called oracle to ask about this concern and some other tech questions I had about the lights. If you call their number and choose technical support you go straight to a guy that did development of the oculus lights (or at least I did). I dont mean to be rude, but the person from oracle posting on here to use a ferrite clamp doesnt seem to know what they are talking about (although I am sure they have the best intentions). He told me the ferrite clamp wont do anything because that feature is already built into the headlight design internally. He said you definitely shouldnt have this issue though and if it is happening than its another problem. I suggest calling in. Its a rarity you actually get to talk to someone that has ever been part of the design/development team of a product.
Thanks for the advice. I wonā€™t bother ordering the clamps and will call tech support when I get home.

Hi Andy, apologies for the confusion. Our product team gave us the information regarding the ferrite clamps; there must be some disconnect between our teams. We will work to fix that in the future. But yes, most technical questions are usually best suited for our product specialist by selecting "Technical Assistance" when you call 1-800-407-5776. This is who you spoke to and who often provides the answers to tech questions for our forum team. Thanks!

Hey guys do I purchased these headlights about two months ago. The only complaint I have with these headlights is that there is a obvious blue/purple light that spills along the beam pattern. I uploaded some photos. After emailing back and forth with a rep from oracle, I get the explanation: the blue cutoff is a sign of a high quality optics and many people ā€œcolormodā€ their HID projectors by modifying the restrictor plates to try to achieve this blue cut-off-look.

i have no experience in led headlights and donā€™t know if this explanation is valid? Can someone share some photos to see if this is normal?

This is standard. This is, in my honest opinion, one of the selling points of the lights. Yes, the best part is either the brightness or the sharp cutoff. You could argue they're equally the best aspect. But (and maybe it's me) I agree that blue hue signifies absolute brilliant quality.

Yes, this is normal. The blue-ish color that you're seeing is called the color flicker, a desirable aesthetic feature of projector lights. The band of colorful light across the top of the beamā€™s cutoff line enhances the visual appeal as the vehicle passes. You can even see it in our promo video: or feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions!

Little update after having them for a day. Light output is pretty good. Not quite as good as some HID setups Iā€™ve had, but still much better than halogen. I have a sport S on 33s and the height is darn near perfect out of the box. I noticed after getting my grill back on, the halos seemed a bit dim to me. Then I realized, I have aftermarket black headlight and grill rings And that little extra bit of material actually blocks about half of the halos circumference. Iā€™m not sure if Saharaā€™s or rubicons would have the same issue or not. I wasnā€™t fully sold on the look so Iā€™ll probably pull the rings off regardless.

Thanks for the note about inserts. I was thinking about painting or getting the inserts.

Just ask @cosine he knows!

It's not normal, it's awesome!
That's the cutoff that only a few high end factory lights have, and similar to BiXenon output. And yes, the explanation is valid.
Haven't seen any LED lights for the JL that have such a distinct cutoff (except for the Oculus), and the blue edge "flicker" is icing on the cake.
Needless to say, I'm jealous of those lights and embarrassed with mine :(

Hey Mark, sorry to hear that you are having issues. With Jeeps, sometimes an individual vehicle will require an individual solution. Can you give us a call at 1-800-407-5776? We can get you with a technician who can trouble-shoot with you for other ideas.
I was hoping I would not need to post this however I still have lights that do not function without issues.

I called Oracle for technical support on Monday evening. I was promptly transferred to a technician to offer assistance. When I described my issue with radio interference when the halos are powered he responded with " I haven't heard about any issue with this on the JL, only on the JK." Seems like he was unaware of the multiple posts on this forum acknowledging the issue. He had no real suggestions beyond what I had tried, which was to try different ground locations. He offered to take my name and number and forward my issue to someone related to customer care and stated that they would call me promptly the next day, Tuesday.

It's now Friday and I have not received any calls from Oracle.

For any others who have experienced the issue with radio interference, how were you able to resolve the issue?

I stated the same issue on page 10. I tried different grounds etc I even tried the suggestion below for an "easy fix" on the ferrite clamp. Yea basically wasted $20 bucks on the ferrite clamps. I use my phone most times to connect to music but I do like to listen to the radio, especially short trips so it sucks. The light output is great as everyone states, just frustrating.

Oracle Rep Response:
"Every electronic component emits an electromagnetic frequency; and in some cases, this frequency can interfere with radio antenna. There is an easy fix for this! All you need to do is install a ferrite clamp on your positive wires. This will kill the ā€œnoiseā€ or interference emitted by these. You can do the ones Deadserial posted or we often recommend these: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetai...bTfN-rHkRxld_JK0_9HvDOKPqszQCCS0aAgvWEALw_wcB"

Hi all, our team is doing some testing to find a solution. We will keep you updated.

@mfkoch07 Mark, there must have been a miscommunication about this; I do apologize for your wait. Please PM us your information and I will be sure that you get a call on Monday.

I installed the Oculus Halos and the Sport S foglight halos on my Gladiator. Much better light output than stock! Much much better!!! There is a slight difference in color between the two, I agree that the Oculus Halos have a slightly more yellow/green hue than the very white Oracle fog halos as well as the very white Winjet DRL sequential turn signals I found...

I ended up reinstalling my headlight trim rings and disconnecting the halos. Iā€™m too OCD for the difference in LED color from the halls to every other led I have on my jeep and it was driving my crazy. Luckily the trim ring covers up half the halo so you can barely see they have them and they arenā€™t on. Besides that ugly halo color, I am happy with them. They stopped fogging up on me after a week too.

I have the Morimoto smoked turn signals. I think they may not be quite as white as the oemā€™s. The oculus halos have a slight green tinge at certain angles in daylight. Head on they are very close to the Morimoto drls. At night they are the exact same.
