How are the DRL and Parking light functions turned on? Are they wired into headlight wiring? If a person doesn't want to do that, how do they function when wired into an aux switch for instance?

It's just wire leads you can hook them to whatever trigger you want or leave them disconnected. It's totally up to you.

You have full control to set them up however you want. For example on the JT we put the Amber lights to Parking Lights, White lights to ignition (Amber overrides White when parking lights turn on) , and the Spotlights to an Auction switch.

You could connect all 3 channels to 3 separate Aux switches if you wanted to.
