I am looking to buy a 2018 JL 4 door.
There are so many options available.
Can anyone tell me the options which can be bought after market and the options which are best bought factory made?

Good advice given right here. If you have specific questions about an option post it up but I doubt anybody is going to go and get all options and write an article giving you their thoughts on each and every one.

Do what flyairam suggested and then post up if you have more specific questions.

I would recommend LSD (antispin) and D44 upgrade for $595. I'm also a huge fan of the Tech package for $995 as it adds the upgraded instrument cluster and radio. Both packages would be much easier and cheaper to get from the factory.

Tow package is up to you. If you only plan to pull a small trailer from time to time I would just add that aftermarket as it's less than $200. However, if you want the AUX inputs and have the 4/7 pin adapters installed stock plus the large alternator and battery it could be worth the $795.

Cold weather group. Remote start can be added fairly easy. Heated seats can be added but I wouldn't want to go through all that. The heated steering wheel I don't think can be added.

Most of these items are much easier to add from the factory but if was going to get a Sport S I would add the antispin group and tech group for 100%. Everything else is up to you.

That's exactly what I got off the lot. Got lucky finding a manual that just happened to have exactly what I wanted and the color I wanted. I'll go aftermarket for towing and save some dough.
