Thanks, when you get a chance can you get some side pics? I want to see how it turned out with leaving the oem liners.
I get you some this weekend when I get it out of the garage. I’m fortunate enough to have a work car so I don’t drive it everyday.

I went the AAL route and modified the fender chop to keep the inner most layer of stuff that has to ripped out. It took a little time to pick it apart, but that extra layer and added skeletal part at the back of the fender kept them almost as sturdy as pre-chop. I'm still tinkering with the lines, and think I've got it planned out to take the line down so it looks a little better, but here's a couple of pics to help explain what I did. Also, hacked up the inner liners to keep something in place till I decide on aftermarket.

Sounds good.
I am not happy with the corner with the hole. If you look close on the inner edge underneath I used a zip tie to secure it better. The rest is just stuffed up in there. I trimmed, checked the length then trimmed again and again until the inner fender was stuffed up as much as possible.

Alright decision making time... I'd love any opinions or recommendations! I have a 2019 Sahara unlimited. I want to do one of two things to my fenders.

First would be to take off the inner fender and trim on my stock fender flares and install the awesome American Adventure Lab High-Line Day Time Running Lights to replace the current turn signal lights ( https://americanadventurelab.com/product/jeep-jl-high-line-fender-brace-with-daytime-running-lights/ ). This would be keeping the stock fender itself. If I'm spending that much on lights I figure I may as well get the RGB option for $100 more, so coming to $395.

My second idea is to get completely new aftermarket fender flares. The ones I love are Road Armor's Stealth Fender Flares with the Switchback DRL's ( https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/...r-stealth-front-fender-flare-w-switchback-drl ).

If I'm paying $395 for the lights alone and staying stock on the flares, does it make more sense to go with Road Armor and whole new flares for a bit more? Both are such clean looks imo. In either of these cases I believe I would need to purchase inner fender liners correct?
We went the RA fenders on my wife's 2018 Sahara. Needed to open up to handle the 37s. He's some pics so you can see. RA fenders all around with factory trimmed liners in the rear and Artec up front. At one point she only had RA fenders up front while we were waiting for the rears to be fabbed.
She absolutely loves them and they completely change the look of the Jeep. It looks like it's moving just sitting there. The Artec liners are great if you are running piggy back shocks, no trimming needed.

I was fine for a few days and today it turned to hyper flash. Ugh...

I guess I’ll have to get the resisters from AAL. Has anyone used them yet?

I have it too, Figured I would order them and put them in when I finally get inner liners and fully gut the fender.

That’s a good call. Only need to rip it apart one more time then.

Thank you! I'll share that with my wife as it's hers. It has been a labor of love... lol. It's changed since these pics so here are a few more to enjoy...
