Opinions on new Rubicon build....

Hey guys i think i am joining the club, but want some opinions on my spec. This will be a weekend toy, so not a DD. Probably more for light off roading, and more overlanding. I appreciate any feedback.

I live in Colorado so going turbo. Planning on getting aftermarket bumpers.

Also, what is a good price i should push for? MSRP is $57,480. I was thinking about contacting a couple dealers near Boise.

Great looking Jeep, I'm sure you're getting excited about it. As you're getting the hinge gate reinforcement, I'm assuming bigger tires are on your mod list. Just to check. . . if that's the plan, would you be reusing or buying new wheels? I ask because the render shows the upgraded wheels.

Thanks! Yeah, it would be our first Jeep so pretty pumped. We would eventually get bigger tires, but the idea is to reuse those upgraded wheels.

Awesome Jeep! I grew up in a Jeep family but was finally able to purchase one for myself. Nearly the same build. I went with the V6 model, however, in black. Absolutely love it so far. I ordered it to spec and ended up getting 7% under invoice so I was pretty happy with that. I do regret not getting the duel top group. I planned to buy an aftermarket besttop soft top not realizing all they have currently is the trektop NX for the JL so I am going to do my best to hold out for the glide.

I just ordered a Rubicon today with almost the same buld but I went thru Costco Auto Program They will sell it to you just under invoice price

I have roughly the same build (picking up in March) and decided on aftermarket headliners (Hot Heads) and possibly Katzkin leather. Both options are probably better than “stock” options.

I also went with stock steel bumpers because the factory spring rates will be beefier to accommodate the heavier bumpers. (I plan on beefing up the rear bumper to eliminate the deformation problem.)

I think the invoice on this build is around $52k. So I am looking in the $48k range for this vehicle.
