Hey Guys!
New "owner" (My sister-in-laws new JL, but Im the car guy)
The Jeep is on-road only, some Canadian snow is the only obstacle it will see.

What do you guys think about wheel spacers on a stock rig? Im just thinking 1 to 1-1/2 inch as I look at it. Especially the back.... Should I do just the rear tires? Is it dumb to do on stock wheels?
Give me your input good or bad. :)

Ok thanks, thats one No.
I still think the rear track looks like a cat that has to pee, instead of a dog about to jump on your coffee table! LOL

By 'stock' are you meaning 'non-rubicon?'. I have 1.75" spacers on my JLUR on stock wheels and tires. They look awesome and it drives/steers better. Not sure if I would have done them if I didn't have a Rubicon tho.

You will hear all sides of the coin about spacers. I suggest getting the wheels you want with the correct offset you are looking for. Most people don’t realize that wheel spacers need to be checked and retightened. It’s not often, but one thing an owner should do.

You're sure to get varying opinions, but regarding functionality, I think @Zazoh and @Litfuse said it best. It can be more of an aesthetic thing (to some, not all) that would require some self-maintenance and/or inspection early on. Ultimately, to each, his own.

I considered the same (Rubi here), but decided against it for a handful of other reasons. Recently I threw new wheels on with a 0 offset that accomplished the same thing, albeit more expensive. My wheels only extend about 1.73" out.

Here's one of the threads to which @blessidsoul12 is referring. There's also a decent video about the topic if you're a fan of the youtube.

I failed to see this before I stuck my nose in it. Very good points...

Yes they should be checked but I think they previously came without thread lock, which I imagine greatly increased the likelihood they loosen. From what I've read and my current experience, the thread lock has kept the lugs snug, not an ounce of loosening in the two times I've checked all spacer and wheel lugs.

I've added 1.75" spacers to a Rubicon JLU. Nothing but compliments.

More pics please. I'm thinking of doing that with my 2018 jlur.
