Here's an FYI. It might possibly help your service technician as well.
These roofs are new and probably not a lot of repairs have been made. Last month my roof, when driving at highway speeds would lift about 1/2" on the side above the passengers head. It was the first time the dealership had worked on one, and I'm not sure they were sure what to do. It took a while, but ultimately after many, many days they adjusted it and it appeared to be tight again.
However about a week later it was doing it again.
Background: I had recently taken it on a gravel / rough road (not really off roading) and developed a rattle whenever the road was not smooth. Never really thought much about it. But I couldn't find the cause of the rattle and I know others have had various rattles so I just considered it a "Jeep Thing"
So I take my Jeep back again and drop it off at the garage. Got it back today (2 days). The rattle is gone. I was told this time they removed the roof and found a cable was not attached. The screw (bolt?) holding the cable came out and fell down into the groove. They could not see that until they removed the roof. At least (to me) this seems like they might have actually fixed it this time since they did actually find an issue. I was hoping it was something simple. It just took a while longer to diagnose and fix than what I had hoped for.
So anyway, if you get a rattle and start losing the tight seal when your roof is closed this might be the problem.
