Once my Rig ships how long for it to arrive at my dealer?

So my JL shipped on 9/10from Toledo, OH. I tried researching approximate time it takes to get to my dealer in Spirit Lake, IA but could no find anything! So I thought a thread discussing rail freight times might be a good idea.

Standard. Since it's already shipped and you're so close, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

My fleet manager could follow it on the computer through the rail locations , and even when it was loaded on the truck for delivery the next day . That's how I knew the day to take a taxi to meet the truck . I picked it up right off the truck , took both keys , and went into the office . No dealer prep for me !

So just got an update and it is looking like the week of 9/24, not expected to leave rail until 9/22 and has 300miles still to go

So it made it to council bluffs and is off the train pending a truck to pick it up. Just 300 miles left on a truck!

If you owned a prius and a miata , the wait would be a killer on your back , lol . Don't forget the test drive at highway speeds .

Definitely. I plan on driving it for 60 miles then hop on the highway

That will be a long test drive . Are you sure they will let you test drive it for over 60 miles ?

Then how will you test drive the steering at highway speed ? You don't need to test drive the steering ? Check out the "Issues , Repairs ..." forum category on this forum , and look for "steering" . Good luck .

Not really as there are fixes out there, the software update should be applied. So not a huge concern overall. The guy I’m buying from is a Jeep enthusiast himself at motor inn of spirit lake, Spencer owns two Jeeps himself. I really haven’t heard of anyone lately getting a Jeep with a steering issue

How far did you order from home? I ordered my JL 200 miles away. I'll probably drive around Washington DC, stop to see the White House, and then take the back roads for the first 60 miles on the way back to NJ.
