I'm not a huge fan of Facebook, but I did meet up with a group that is very active on there, called Long Island Wanderers. We met up a few months back at Robert Moses. They just recently met up for a seal watch at one of the Suffolk County beaches. They're also planning a day in the woods at a local park. Cathedral pines, I believe.
