I’m attempting to run wires through my passenger frame rail using the fish tape. I can’t seem to get it through more than a few feet. Are there other items in there??
Did you get the wire through?

I ordered the Genius 10 x1. I also ordered the M10 and M6 eylette terminal accessory. Now connecting to 6 it's an M8 and 5 is an M6. Can I use a washer if I use the M10 eylettes on 6? Or could the better solution be using 3 and 5 which are M6. However 3 and 5 are threaded and the eyelets will need to be widened.

I never use a flimsy, fish tape... I use a rigid, straightened out metal coat hangar.... and go from hole in frame rail to next hole in frame rail...... a couple of feet+- on each move to the rear of the JL.... (on the passenger side frame rail) 2 door is easier as on 4 door there is a hump you have to go over.
I read a post that one of the battery post bolts is easily broken if removed. It doesnt state which bolt. I'm using the picture that I believe you created. Do you know which bolt not to use other than #7. The Joy's of having one vehicle and dependent people in the house. I just don't want to put the Jeep out of commission. Minus 40 degree weather is another reason lol. I was thinking of using 6 M8 and 2 M6 or 3 M6. Furthermore my eyeletes I have are 10m or 6m,. Do I need washers if I use the 10M eyletes from this cable? Thanks, lots of reading.

#7 in the picture is the one that you can have an issue with if you over tighten it. The head of bolt on #7 is square and when you over tighten it, you can round off that square head.. Once rounded it can be a pain when you go to tighten that bolt in the future. So with #7 snug it up but don't over tighten.

As for washers.. I have not used any. I enlarge holes in eyelets when I need to or a use a smaller eyelet when needed.

As mentioned in earlier posts, don't hook up your battery tender/maintainer to #7.

Thank you, just wanted to make sure it was only #7 to not hook up to.

Just another suggestion for a power connection point that I’ve installed for my block heater. The NOCO plug units come with different cord lengths. I used a 6’ one and ran it up by the battery where the block heater cord was coiled up. That plug point could be used for a charger and or the block heater just by adjusting the plugs right under the hood.

Can you use stainless steel M6 100 for the nuts on the battery post. I read they shouldn't be used in a certain position on the post. Here in Canada I cant find zinc nuts. In case I drop or loose one when putting the cables on, I want a plan b.

Can I use stainless steel nuts on the battery posts 1,2,3,4 or 5. I can not get zinc here in Canada. Just in case I loose the nut. I know smaller nuts are M6 100 and the one larger one is M8 1.25.

I would only use zinc nuts and bolts for battery connections..

With stainless bolts/nuts in the connectors, you set up a condition that promotes corrosion.

Dissimilar metals = generation of corrosion. The acidic environment at the battery posts accelerates that corrosion process.

Note: For short term use .... if you had nothing else, sure.... but get them off there soon after.

Thanks, that is what I read. I installed the cables with no plan b, I will call the dealership in the morning to get a few nuts, just incase. Its not all wired up the way I want, however its plugged in and in maintenance mode. Flashing green light. Yes I will have to read about what mode it's in. So I have to call the dealership andvget the nuts.

Looks good, how did you extend the positive and negative wires on the Genpro?
Must be missing something, but for those of you doing the AC extension cord plug in like this with the Noco charger under the hood somewhere, how do you select the charge mode on the Noco unit? Does it somehow automatically select 12v AGM when you plug in the extension cord?

The beauty of a cowl install like this is not raising the hood. Just plug in the cord when you park.

Noco selects last setting you used.
