I went with the NOCO GEN PRO 10 amp 1 bank. I have the Genesis dual battery and space is limited under the hood. It looked like it would've fit on top of the fuse box, but I didn't want to run into any issues or hassel. Quite a bit of wiring:

The NOCO unit is mounted in the rear cubby and secured with two bolts through the plastic tub.

The AC port plug is mounted on the driver side, which helps remind me that I'm tethered before.

Cut and spliced wire through driver side of firewall, across to the center console tucked under all the way to the rear cubby.

Looks good, how did you extend the positive and negative wires on the Genpro?

Mistake I made initially was cutting up where the wires merged (single black wire). But there is actually 4 wires: An orange & blue wire that meets with what looks like a circuit board, then the red (POS) and black (NEG) wires continues beyond the tab by themselves.

I learned that the black tab where the wires merge is an ambient temperature gauge.

Second time around I cut where I could see the POS & NEG Wire...from there I used 12 AWG wire and secured it in split wire loom for added protection.

I agree. My wife thinks I'm crazy. But there is a need with any car. Electronics have increased in cars and nothing has been done to maintain what keeps the electronics going and if course there is the Jeep.

Nice job. I just can't bring myself to do the cowl thing, still thinking of rear area. Mine is a 2 door with Genesis also and I have room to put my noco on the fuse box with clearance . When I make up my mind I'll post install pics. No cubby whole in the rear on the two door. The bass speaker is in the floor back there. It would have been easier on a JK.

I’m attempting to run wires through my passenger frame rail using the fish tape. I can’t seem to get it through more than a few feet. Are there other items in there??

I never use a flimsy, fish tape... I use a rigid, straightened out metal coat hangar.... and go from hole in frame rail to next hole in frame rail...... a couple of feet+- on each move to the rear of the JL.... (on the passenger side frame rail) 2 door is easier as on 4 door there is a hump you have to go over.
