i've been looking for a solution that would allow mounting a Compressor in the engine compartment of the EcoDiesel. (single is fine.)

i know i haven't looked *everywhere* yet; anyone have a suggestion?
You can install it under the driver side brake booster...take the driver side wheel/tire off and fender/inner fender and boom, nice space for it...look for [Banned Site] and Trailrecon videos on Youtube...

Is that an option with the diesel?

I run the Grimm ARB/SPod setup. I like it, works well for the 2 door (where space is at a premium). I had to shorten the filter hoses as it would push against the clutch position sensor and knock it off (preventing the Jeep from starting normally). Very simple fix and not really a con. My only complaint is with the stock fender liners, they suck and I feel the compressor gets splashed more then I would like. I am looking into upgrading the liners.

A mix of both actually. I felt the single would do the job of airing up just fine - and it does - the price vs convienience of the double didn't seem worth it to me. I do have the aux switches so it was a straight forward wiring job.
And the firewall mount really appealed to me - as a 2 door owner I need all the interior space I can get.
...And I wheel a lot with my wife, who gets to sit in a nice quiet interior while the pump buzzes away under the hood;)

But the single really works fine, call it 90 seconds or so to air up each 33 from 16 to 36 psi...
I have the same exact setup with that same under-hood mount and I’m happy as well!

What are you trying to do? Just inflate tires, or run power tools? Do you want to DIY? If so, how comfortable are you with wiring and running air lines?
This all might help. If you just need to inflate tires, I’d listen to @AcesandEights to go with a portable. 30A and below can be wired to a rear 7-pin trailer plug if you have the HD package.

Running air tools will benefit from a tank in the mix. Air lockers need a manifold. If you want fast air up times, an onboard dual will be best. I mount mine inside the cab to cut down on maintenance, but you have to run power through the tub or firewall for that.
can you point my to a wiring diagram

I think any plug you buy comes with it. I didn’t see a good one on a common
license picture search. You just need the hot and ground.
Here is the Jeep diagram, but I don’t know if you can identify pins easily this way. The plug’s included diagram is best.

I ordered an Epic Kraken the other day. Looks like a slick approach for airing up all four at once. Also seems to be significantly easier to install than the ARB passenger seat option that I put in my last Wrangler. Note that I never used that since it was totaled the next day.

This is terrific. How did you wire it to the plug? I am a novice with electrical. Thank you.

Has anyone permanently mounted any compressor besides the ARB? Specifically wondering about either the Vlair or the Morrflate. But would be interested in any alternatives. (I like the ARB but it’s a little more than I’d like to spend). What id really really like is a way to figure out how to mount the Vlair TLC pro so I could both reset beads on my mountain bike and air up tires…
