Old Style Oil Pan on the 2022 392?

Just watched a video review of the ‘22 392 and noticed at about the 4:53 mark you can clearly see the old style oil pan hanging down. My ‘21 came with the newer style. Wonder why they went back to the old and rather vulnerable oil pan that hangs down? Had extras in the parts bin maybe?

Wow, that's unexpected! I'm super happy that I got a 392 in the narrow window of steel oil pans. The aluminum 392 oil pan without a skid plate gives me anxiety. I'd love to see a Jeep engineer defend it with a straight face for off-road use.
