I have a Dana-Spicer brand 4.88 set for my D30 front axle and and they don't make the 4.88 for D35 its a pre-order only. And if i wanted to go all Yukon parts, the Yukon D30 is on back order. so can i mix brands?

It should be fine as long as the ring gear and pinion gear have the same tooth count. The ratio is a mathematical calculation that dictates only a certain number of ratios are possible. In other words, it would be impossible for the gear ratio to be slightly different if the tooth count was the same.

Examples
# of ring gear teeth / # of pinion teeth = ratio:1
41 ring gear teeth / 10 pinion teeth = 4.10:1

As long as the gear ratio is the same, you can mix & match companies for the front & rear... IE Dana up front and Yukon in the back.

Dont try to mix & match pinion & ring gears though(dana pinion with a yukon ring). Gear pitch and axis could be different.

There's NO way it matters....OEM's have done this for decades with Dana/AAM or Dana/Visteon etc etc

Tiny variations in ratio are fine, too, such as 4.10/4.11, 3.54/3.55 or even 3.54/3.50. You'll get that much variation from unequal tire wear, unequal tire pressure, or weight bias front/rear any and every day of the week anyhow
