Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
I have been shooting for over 40 years. Competed in the 90s and some in the early 2000. I have about 75000 rounds through this Springfield Trophy Match 1911 These were shot at 20 yards.

I shot this three shot group after sighting in a new scope on a Colt National Match H-bar at 100 yards.

This was the most recent group I took a pic of. Not exactly looking for accuracy as much as how much can the windshield handle. Shot from 10-25 yards with a custom 10/22 subsonic and supersonic ammo, .380 from a glock 42, .40 s&w from a glock 22 and a UMP 40, and .223/5.56 from a Tavor. I'll have to look for a legit good target, but this was a fun experiment.

Did you know that it is almost impossible to shoot through a windshield and hit someone behind it while it is in a car? The slope of the windshield will put most bullets up in to the headliner and not hit the occupant of the vehicle. So do the same experiment but put the windshield at an anle as if it was mounted as it would be in a car and set up a target behind it at the distant a person driving it would be and see if you can get a round on paper.

That's the plan actually. we have three windshields left to shoot. The pic was just having fun. Shoot both ways through them to see what kind of deflection we get with different rounds.

Awesome. What a fun way to shoot off some rounds.

Definitely a fun time. I'm pretty spoiled because we have a range in my building and as much ammo as we care to shoot. The windshields are going to be incorporated into our inservice hopefully. Good training.

My son (9 at the time) shot this group at 300yds with his stock savage axis II with vortex crossfire scope. No fancy rest either, just two bags.

Hahahaha!! Love it!! I have the luxury of being able to shoot at work whenever I want and have the pleasure to work with a great group of people. We all enjoy shooting and also have a tendency to prank one another. That target reminds me of a group I shot to mess with my boss. We were supposed to be shooting from 25 yards and I shot all my groups from 3 yards that day. He is super competitive and couldnt handle it. He still doesnt know and that was months ago!

You just gotta watch out for leaving stippling on the target. ;)

Some 1 shot/sec shooting with my CCW (Sig Ultra Carry 1911). Not this tight with the revolver yet.
