My 2.2 multijet has developed a small oil leak somewhere high up on the left hand side of the engine. I now have a small occassional oil dip. Has anyone experienced this type of leak. I was hoping to find a diagram of what parts could be causing the leak but so far I can't find any. I'm suspectiing it's just a bad O ring type seal on a hidden component so before I start ripping the parts out and damaging gaskets and seals I want to get more info and some diagrams of the area in question to identify faulty parts.
Can anyone help out here, thx

By left side, do you mean passenger side? My 2018 JLU 2.0 is in the shop for this right now if it’s the passenger side. Leak is from the Oil Seperator. There is a thread on here somewhere reference it.

Definitely the left side on my RHD export 2.2 multijet diesel. So it's not the oil cooler or the filter housing
Thanks for the diagram👍

I found the issue and this maybe helpful for owners as your JL gets older. Mine is a 2019 2.2 multijet.

I found yhe issue after searching with a high powered torch 🔦.
And it's a simple and very cheap fix.

The two O rings at the top of the dip stick have given up, shrunk and gone hard so I'm getting a small amount of blow by of oily fumes and splatter coming out of the dip stick. Then this oil residue slowly makes its way down the outside of the dip stick tube until it gets to where it enters the lower part of the block and then dips and runs every where.
I just need to buy 2 x small O rings from the Bearing Shop.

If you can take some pictures, I would appreciate it. 🙏🏻
