They’re going to have to separate the transmission from the engine. I’d assume they will see the origin of the leak once they can pull the converter from the input shaft. Very annoying - yet exactly the reason why there is a factory warranty. Sadly all too often non-complying dealers compound the frustration of a defect; rather than giving the customer a first class repair experience.Update #6 - got a call yesterday that the leak is actually transmission oil/fluid but it sure looks like oil to me and after 2 trips to the first dealer... who knows. At this point they have no idea where the leak is coming from and are going to essentially tear apart the engine and transmission to try and find it. No idea how long they will have it or what the results will be. Won't hear anything until after the holidays I am sure. Sucks that the dealer techs have driven it almost as much as I have now.
Mistakes / Defects can happen -the difference is always how they’re handled/fixed.
