Gotta be a rental vehicle. Who would be able to put that mileage on? Either way I’d say it’s done.

I had a friend in high school with a 67 Cougar. Had over 100k and they had NEVER changed the oil. They just added a quart every 1000 miles and kept going. Worked for them.

Posting in the 3.6 forum was not accidental. The filter being skewed sideways for me was the dead giveaway it’s a Pentastar.
Never changed oil on either motor so was just curious

Have to say... that's impressive. Not the never changing oil part but making it to 91k w/o ever changing it lol. Look at the metal fragments in it.

Probably leaked enough oil to have the same effect, though, right?

We changed the oil in a Jeep (Grand Cherokee) that had gone to 60k without an oil change. We did 500 mile OCI’s for a few months on it and the engine is going strong to this day.

The husband and wife both claimed the other had been getting the vehicle serviced regularly.

The oil filter in it looked worse than this one shown here, the pleats were no longer visible. It was like clay on the paper. The oil that drained out (miraculously there was still about a quart of liquid in it) looked like and had the consistency of melted chocolate.
