oil change frequency

Jeep Waves pays for oil changes and 5-wheel tire rotations every 6 months or 5Kmiles. My 2019 had that free service for 24 months. Newer Wranglers have that benefit for 36 months now. Just go with whatever they recommend. You loose it if you don't use it.

Must say I wasn’t expecting the replies so different. That’s what it is awesome about this forum . Different ideas and thoughts, neither correct or wrong. All makes complete sense. Longer tire life or keep the spare in pristine, pretty shape.

I totally agree! But the four tire rotation guys are wrong and should be violently ridiculed.

True that the Jeep Wave has been extended to 36 months, but they reduced the number of oil changes from 4 to 3. I'm just going to do oil changes in my garage at 5000 miles and 5 tire rotation.

Change your oil and rotate your tires every 5,000 miles. Keeps it simple and easy to remember each time.

That's stupid, they have a limit on the oil changes? I thought it was completely free standard maintenance (based on a schedule in the manual) for 36 months. If they say 5k miles and only include 3... who the heck drives a Jeep 15k miles in THREE FREAKING YEARS?!?!? I plan to have that in the first 8 months. racist.

I do what Spank and Morton do, 5 tire rotation and oil change usually between 4,500 and 5,000 miles. Might be an over kill, but I kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Both done at the same time. I’ve been doing this forever and always had good tire wear and piece of mind.

I can do math just fine. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 etc.

I have a 21 Willy’s with the ED how often should the oil be changed? My salesman said to wait until the light comes on lol( I don’t think so) some say 10k, is it longer for a diesel than a gas engine?
