Was that Camaro V8 350 a DI engine?
Honestly not sure, I read the report back in the early 2000s.

I am on Audi forums with my A7 and here is a UOA from another poster there. The engine is the Audi 3.0 TFSI supercharged and direct injected engine. Audi engineers say 10,000 miles between changes for that engine. This report from Blackstone was on a 10,000 mile sample and Blackstone says it’s still decent and recommend 12,000 on the next change. Typical oil for this engine is euro spec 0W40 or 5W40 oil.

I just do Pennzoil Platinum every 5,000 miles regardless of OCI reading. Easy to remember, and I rotate tires at same time.

I don’t care what any report says. 10,000 mile oil may be as viscous as it was new but I guarantee it’s dirty. I’m doing every 3,000. I’ve seen too many engines needing to be rebuilt cause they went by oil life monitor.

Best solution. Peel off the stcker the oil change place put on your windscreen. When the oil changer reminder comes on, just shut everything down. Push the start button twice (do not have your foot on the brake pedal). Then Immediately pump the throttle three times. Push the start button again and you now have fresh oil, as it'll show 100%.

I have a 2010 Camaro with over 200k miles. Always went by oil life monitor and always used Pennzoil Platinum. Just did my MPG test run last week (43 mile drive to work doing the speed limit) and it still gets close to the same MPG that I got when new (less than 1 MPG difference). I get about 7,500 miles between oil changes.
