I talked to a dealer rep at the Offroad Expo who said that they told him last week that the Offroad pages would not be an over the air Uconnect update. It would come out with the 2019 model year and ONLY on 2019 models of the JL. Anyone heard an update recently? I'm hoping this isn't true.

Calling BS on that! What is physically and technologically different between the model years? Probably Zero! That and the fact that we already have the data in the driver's display, it just needs to be presented on the 8.4 screen.

I agree, especially since it's already been on the 2018's. Mine had them when it first came off the truck.

From the Hello From JeepCares thread:

Hi Andrew_MI,

At this time, Off Road Pages are unfortunately not available for the 2018 model year. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment as a result of this.

Jasmine clearly says they aren't. But the good news is that she hedged with "at this time."

I guess waiting for a '19 JTR CRD will be worth it...

Then why advertise it on all the 2018 literature?

I mean you can also read that as it is not available at this time. Doesn't 100% mean that it will not come to this year's model. Especially considering that some people did have it when they picked it up and that the shipping mode disabled it for some reason. It's the same information that is displayed on the cluster screen, just on a bigger screen. So I feel like it's just an update issue that they are working on but haven't finished yet? You also could be right about us never getting it... Idk, I don't work for jeep lol

I went to my dealer last week (there's also other threads on this) and had them run it to ground. The off road pages are removed during the PDI when it gets to the dealetship because they weren't displaying accurately. There is an update coming but you'll have to go to your dealership to get it. They're going to call me when it's in and I'll pass on the info. Those pages are in the 2018 Quick Reference Manual and Owners Manual so don't let anyone tell you they are for the 2019 model year.

And every magazine and dealer is advertising them on their websites as available. It’s gotta be a simple update...or we can storm FCA HQ with 100k Jeeps until we get it? Lol

If it's not just a simple software update I say we kidnap Sweater Boy and hold him hostage until they give what they promised.

Let's even make him give us self-calibration for bigger tires. That could be done easily with the internal GPS and a little imagination.
