I have received this info in an email today from my dealer (hopefully the copy/paste works):

Well your request has been received and answered with a "YES"! This is the new Xtreme Recon package for rubicons. It's a $3,995.00 option and is starting production with this package in August. Here is all it comes with.
Xtreme Recon 35" Tire Package (AGB)
Details:
  • LT315/70R17C 113/110S Tires (TVC)
  • Dana M210 Wide HD Tube Front Axle (DJV)
  • 110mph Vehicle Max Speed Calibration (JJ3)
  • Wheel Flare Extensions (NLA)
  • MOPAR Tire Relocation Kit (XFP)
  • Anti-Lock 4-Wheel Disc Perf Brakes (BR4)
  • 17x8.0 beadlock Capable Wheel (WFC)
  • MOPAR Jack Spacer (CXK)
  • 35" Tire Suspension (SDG)
  • MOPAR Hinge-Gate Reinforcement (XDB)
  • GVW Rating - 6100# (Z1M)
  • 4.56 Rear Axle Ratio (DMU)
110 max speed calibration? that makes no sense at all based on reasoning given before on the 99mph limit.

Look at the first and third pic. Those fog light bezel/crush cans are really sticking way out there.

Also the little govt mandated fender extensions.
They are probably a narrow 35” with no offset so they won’t have to extend the flares like bronco.

Good pick up. Looks like this is how they got around covering the 4.4” backspacing of the original Mopar beadlocks.

The 1.5” lift sounds like the lift that comes standard on the 392 which is nothing more than different springs and shocks. Control arms, sway bar end links are same as stock Rubi.

My biggest question is will the optional gearing be available on the 392. My guess is NO as the 392 doesn’t even have the 4.10:1 of the stock Rubi. Since the 392 already has the 1.5” lift, this package will likely only add the alternative beadlocks and 35” tires to the 392… and the wonky bumper and fenders.

With the gearing, this package would be a decent alternative to the 392 itself in terms of acceleration on 35/37” tires.
The 392 package has the 4.56 gearing...

So is the 4.88 option only available with a manual transmission? Will the 392 be getting the 4.88 option or is that only for a rubicon? The 392 doesn’t even come with 4.10 so the jump for an optional 4.56 or 4.88 seems Xtreme *pun intended

It's based on the tire speed rating. The 99 (97 restricted) on the current 33s is based on those tires being a Q rated tire. If these are 110 then it means they are an S rated tire. Or higher.

I would be one of two then. It would sell like crazy. You think people with base models don't build them for the trails?
I'd probably be the second one.

But no, I don't think it would sell well. I mean, you have to buy the Rubicon if you want to go off-road, right?

Yeah never was meant to be a one year limited run.

So apparently the 392 is not a one year thing, as this all leads me to believe it will continue on.

Still no love for the 2-door:mad:

Love my 20' Rubi 2-door, will love it more in a few weeks when I complete all my mods...(My version of an 'Extreme' package: 3.6 Edelbrocked, UD44, 4.88's, BFG 37" C KO2''s, major JL Audio upgrade & more)

Hopefully Jeep will pay attention to Bronco 2-door sales / options and quit treating the 2-door JL's as an afterthought...
I have to admit that if I were ordering a new rig today, I would really give serious consideration to a well equipped 2-door Bronco with factory 35's & 4.70's...
