Today, Jeep replied to my emails confirming officially that 2018s will receive ORP!

Dear Andrew,

I wanted to follow up with you and make you aware of a recent official
statement released by us here at Jeep.

The all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler will offer Off-Road Pages as late
availability as originally stated at launch. Customers who purchased a
2018 Jeep Wrangler with the optional Off-Road Pages will receive the
feature through an over-the-air update at no cost and without a service
appointment. A notice will appear on the Uconnect display that will
advise owners when the download is available.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Ashlea

I kind of figured it was a big misunderstanding. Either that or there was a round of firings to fix the mistake.

Apparently today was the day the decided to return the inquiries regarding the lack of ORP:

It's good that some customer service reps are starting to say they are going to step back from their previous standing on these off-road pages.

I still don't know what to believe.

So many reps were saying they WEREN'T coming for 2018. Now some are saying otherwise.

Who knows what to believe...

It seems like the answers have been consistent, when you look at a cross-section of time.

At the very beginning, things were consistently confused. When FCA decided not to update the 2018 JLs, most of the answers indicated that. When they changed their minds, the answers changed correspondingly.

Clearly something changed. Everyone seems to be on the same page.

I don't agree.

Just a week ago multiple sources were saying they weren't coming. And people were even getting offered monetary compensation in the form of free subscriptions for their satellite radio and what-not.

At that time there was one FCA source saying that 2018's were going to get an update. Despite the rest saying otherwise.

I feel that this is all nonsense until a legitimate announcement is made. A few customer service reps saying one thing doesn't mean it's true, obviously. Their track record regarding the off-road pages is absolute nonsense.

I feel pretty confident there will never be an official announcement. They’ll simply be available someday (or they won’t).

I just really hope we don’t have to keep having the same pointless argument until that day arrives.

It's so nice that the fix will be at "no cost"!!!
I think they're moreso giving you full clarification, and not acting like they're doing you a favor or anything

One thing that’s confusing is it says the people who purchased a 2018 jeep with Offroad pages, you will get that as late availability. But jeep took out the off-road pages off-line and out of the 2018 JL , Jeep said the 2018 will not get offroad pages so if I bought a new wrangler today it would say nothing about Offroad pages but will I still get the pages in the future? Or is it just for the early adopters who were promised the Offroad pages and did not get them. If I buy a wrangler later today or tomorrow , Jeep and the dealer say nothing about off road pages But do I get them anyway ? If this is real then jeep needs to update their site to say Offroad pages late availability then I would feel safe and secure that we’re all going to get them. But right now I don’t know
