Yep, I was one of those that never had the Off Road Pages and never went back to the dealer nor did I get the OTA push. My Jeep is garage kept and not daily driven so I didn't expect to get the OTA push. So as seen in the pics below my software needed updating lol! I was glad to find this thread and see I could do it without going to the dealer.

Same here. Bought my Jeep in March of 18 and never got the OTA push. I tried working with Jeep Customer Service to have them send it, took about 2 months and it never came. They promised a download and then changed their minds and said to go to a dealer. Since the dealer can't even change my oil without overfilling I figured I would wait for this.

Thats those Kalifornians for ya! ;]

But you have to confirm the second copy works!? ;] (thats the whole point) A known working moving to a probably not work. PM Sent.

Maybe create and test verify the second one on your wifes?
The other option is the insert into existing and should pop the "cannot upgrade to the <same> version" error message at least showing the drive is reading. Confirmation condition has to be verified.

Either way, I'm betting it wont work... (educated cynical engineering hunch) ;]

And even more ironic... $10 right... I asked uConnect & @JeepCares to do this over a year ago and the declined and made me go to the dealer that I knew would mess this up. Would have only cost them $10 last year. Now cost me 3hrs at a service center that made it worse, and a year of "bull stuff"... All to save $10... A sad state of poor customer service. Way to make quality job 1! (oh wait, wasn't that Fords old motto...) lol

2nd USB works as well

Had the dealer update my uconnect at the last oil change, finally had my off-road pages and they disappeared halfway home...

That stinks. Have you checked the software version to see what it says? I updated mine on my own last Saturday and a week later, they are still there working fine. Maybe try doing it yourself to save a trip back to the dealer?

I have to eventually go back for the steering stabilizer recall next week so I will have them try again, if that doesn’t work out I’ll definitely end up loading it in myself :like:

Hi Blammmo_,
We're sorry to hear about this. We would be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist to see if there is anything we can do on our end to assist. Feel free to send us a PM.

Here is another example of the same software defect.
-I took the picture at 3:50 PM (notice the time shows 11:29)
-Coolant temp shows 161 deg on dash, while center console shows 53 deg F.
-This key cycle showed the voltage updating while other dials did not update.

Key cycle resolved issue, although subsequent key cycles shows other issues.

Looks like more opportunities for software fixes....

While they are at it there are more to fix.

It should prompt for it. I think I read something about if you have anything plugged into your ODB port it won't pop up. You don't by any chance have that do you?

Unfortunately Jeep doesn't release the USB updater since it's likely to cause bricked devices if the user messes it up. You may be able to find one but I highly suggest you get the dealer to do it or call jeep and have them see if they can trigger it remotely.

I agree 100%... go to dealer for this one or call JEEP and ask to push it out ( over air update). That is what I had to do to get it.
