I can’t even get and ORV per it until town hall opens. You do anything to protect the Jeep from salt water (fluid film, power wash after...)?If they ever open back up. I was at crows all March and April, and then they closed it the week before memorial day weekend
You know any "light" off road/ dirt trails or scenic view spots to drive in the area?Online ordering for Dennis Opened yesterday. I ordered my sticker already. Orleans is open right now for Nauset Beach as well
When vehicle access is restored, it will re-open to Recreational ORVs for FLATS ACCESS ONLY via the Dune Trail. Parking on the beach will remain closed.Online ordering for Dennis Opened yesterday. I ordered my sticker already. Orleans is open right now for Nauset Beach as well

What is the difference between flat access vs parking? Was looking to have some beach fun, bbq, etc with the family on these trips.
ThanksHere is the map:

which is quasi helpful... better map from Google below... Basically the area is 2 places--the river side on the right, and the access to the flats on the left. You used to be able to drive in between them, but they've modified the rules this year... I tried to go this weekend but they just closed the entire area until next week. Groan. Piping plovers or something...
2 pics:
The "flats" At low tide the beach goes out 1/2 mile in both directions. You can drive anywhere on the flats except for the oyster cage area.. Tons of space here, so no issues social distancing.
The are on the right, near Quivett creek, or the river, at high tide is very tight. They apparently are just closing this down now. I loved this spot, because when the tide comes in it's great to ride the river in...
Hope this sorta makes sense. I'm going to get an ORV in Orleans this year bc of all the closures at Crowes..
You have an alternate? I am definitely also a weekend warriorFYI, before anyone buys a Dennis Sticker they are extremely limiting access this year. There will be no high tide access and only low tide access. Access is 2 Hours before and after the official low tide. If you look at your tidal calendar you will see how few weekends that will be, if your a weekend d warrior like myself. Also they are still throwing in the Piping Plover caveat as well as staffing now on the town website. Its gonna be an interesting summer for sure.
Just waking to the beach like everyone else. Bummer since this one is closest to me.You have an alternate? I am definitely also a weekend warrior
