Those diesel owners just don't know it yet! 3rd generation garbage. I can't believe they all think the torque is worth it. Their oil changes will cost a fortune and to boot these diesels are terrible for the environment. Anyone who tells you they aren't having problems is lying to you and themselves!

If you're looking at the PHEV don't walk away from the diesel run! How do I know all this?

This is the best representation of our diesels. So accurate I went ahead and installed 37's to speed up this process.

My business owns 63 diesel trucks right now. Power strokes primarily but we do have 4 ecodiesel rams

So far 12K on the JLURD and 92K on the 2016 GC diesel with zero issues. I love the diesel engine and when it comes to crawling you simply can't beat it. Amazing torque and power to spare. Add to that the 450 miles on a single tank of fuel, what more can you ask for. I only wish that the 2020 had a trail camera.

Do you have a build thread for the scrambler?

2021 with 5700 miles on it. Pushing 39” KM3’s for 5000 miles, with no re gear as of yet, and you can’t even tell you’re on bigger tires. This motor is amazing! I get 20+Mpg around town, 22+ on the freeway... and diesel at Costco here in Utah is about the same price as regular unleaded. No problems thus far. Highly recommend.

Jeep Wrangler JL % of Diesels with major problems? 0EDA1F5D-4A88-43C3-846D-66FE129CB8CF
my gut instinct says this setup with the 4 to 1 is likely ideal off road or 4.56 to 4.88 with the 2.73

Does anyone have a fairly accurate percentage of Diesels that are having big engine issues?

I am 6-12 months out from ordering and undecided between the Diesel and PHEV. Both have great upsides, just trying to find our reliability. PHEV information will obviously be yet to come.

Thank you all.
Zero issues with mine, 6 months old, 8,000 miles.

On a forum it’ll be very difficult to establish a meaningful percentage that doesn’t suffer woefully from self-reporting bias and limited sample size.
