I like the Mopar grab handles but, like a lot of others, didn't like how low they hung and how visible they were when not in use. Solution? Magnets. Not the prettiest outcome on the handle side (will smooth/refine it when I can) but it works amazingly and didn't cost much. Simple neodymium magnets, the large one hidden under the top panel, and 2 disc-style ones that are epoxy'd inside a groove of the handle. Here are a few pics. Let me know if you want to know any specifics!

Not a bad idea.

I bet these Velcro ones which are pretty sturdy however I can hear the velcro make noise every now and then and it gets annoying. But I guess thats just how all velcro is. Maybe I need to have them tighter.

I went with the GPCA as well. They're a bit pricey for a grab handle but I think they're worth it.

I went paracord but with metal d rings which should hold strong for a long time. Very happy how they turned out (6 total)

I have the Mopar grab handles, but I'm not all that happy with them. I think they hang down far to long, I don't like how they swing back and forth when turning, and despite the fact that I am far from six foot tall, I hit my head on on them every time I get in the Jeep.

To be honest, I much preferred the Grabars that I had installed in my 2015 JKUR over the Mopar set in the 2018 JLUR. I have been toying with totally removing them in the past week or so, but with a Mopar lift and 37" tires, my wife and granddaughter need something to assist with jumping in the vehicle. I do have a set of Rock Slide Engineering slider steps that helps out but a handle to grab onto is a help too.

I am toying with either the Bartact solution or the GPCA solution. What are the major pro's and con's of each?

GPCA all the way! Strong, sturdy, and #1 is that they fold up out of the way (notice the passenger-side handle in the background). I did a little customization on mine.

How did you wrap the parachord around the handle and get it to stay? i would like to do something like this to my factory handles that are part of the A pillar. Thanks

Paracord ties up properly if you pull it tight enough. Otherwise, start with a loop passed under the wrap and pull the end under when you're done...
