If you are installing the OEM LED headlights that have the halo rings, this is the wire used to connect the halos terminal on the headlight connector to the jeep’s body control module to activate them. Not all jeeps with halogen headlights are pre-wired for the halos present on the LED headlights if you decide to get yourself a pair.

Oh, that makes sense—thanks!

How did you find out if your JLUR was pre-wired for the halos? And...did you take your Jeep to the dealer for the flash (I am, of course, assuming you had halogen OEM and switched to LED), and if so, did they charge you? If so, how much? I installed the LEDs on my JLUR and I need them flashed, and want the halo to work but not sure if I need to install this wire yet. If I need to flash first to see if the halo works, I'll do that, but if I plug in the harness and it should fire up immediately, then I might need that wire. Unfortunately, the Jeep dealer I went to didn't know their .... you get the idea.

Thank you in advance!

Some 2020s may already have halo wiring. You would need to look at plug at headlight. See this thread.
