It looks like your missing #4 which is power and is vital. I do not think the BUS line #8 is required.

This is great! I assume the lin bus line #8 is what links the mirror to the activate/deactivate button located within the head unit? Also, what is that connector called for tech documents? I’ve searched and not been able to find that.

That makes sense. The connector is called XY322A

I finally got around to installing the harness and mirror but I'm unsure if it's actually working. This what my body side harness looks like on the passenger side and driver side respectively

The pass side is what we were referring to and what carries the circuits based on the wiring diagrams. It looks like your missing the power circuit #4 however I dont see why #3 cannot be bridged over to supply the voltage here.

The #3 pin/circuit is protected by a 10 amp fuse # F33 (underhood PDC) and is ignition operated so when the key is off there is no power.

Interesting how you have so many more wires pre installed on passenger side and don’t have factory installed auto mirror. Looks like you have all the emergency wires, which I thought would be for the sos type buttons on that mirror.

Gotcha, thanks! Any idea how I would go about doing that? Haha

Yeah that is strange, when I saw all of the wires I was certain that everything was there in order for it to work, was excited for it because I thought it would have been an easy win.

My first recommendation would be to buy a terminal pack but upon checking there are none available. Option 2 is to buy the connector pigtail but its not cheap https://parts.allmoparparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-wiring-68475546aa
The 3rd option is to simply tap into the wire with standard connectors. You would need 2 taps and a short piece of wire.

Thanks Benny, I have an electrician in the family I can have help me with tapping into the wires. Which wires are they specifically? When matching my harness to the diagram it looks like I have pins in the 3 & 4 slots. Am I correct or am I looking at it wrong?

Hi Matt,
My original image is the opposite end of the connecter. Here is the one you should compare with your first image

Note the slot on the top right. Your terminal 3 is there but not 4.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
-Benny

Hey Benny,

Do you know what manufacturer makes this connector? I’ve been diving down the led oem headlamps and have figured out the pins called Molex will work for adding a halo light pin to my connector for that. What’s the odds of this connector using the same molex pins I wonder. I also had to source some different pins for the BCM connectors called mouser 1.2 terminals. I haven’t been able to find out this connectors specs for this b pillar connection

I think I'm going to go the route of tapping the wires, but is this the connector that was mentioned? If so, how would you go about adding it to the harness? Sorry for all of the questions, this is uncharted territory for me.

Im not sure how that would come into play. You already purchased the header harness correct?

Yes I have the header harness, going to to the wire tap but wanted to cover my bases on the links you provided. I did a web search for the wiring you linked above attempting to find a photo of what it may look like and what it would entail to install it. I am assuming the photo I posted is not an accurate representation of the actual wiring haha.
