Hmm. I’ve been running them at 27. I can see that the higher pressure will decrease the contact patch and less of the road will affect the suspension. I will fill them up before I leave tonight.

The cold weather is effecting the SS but as stated its just there to mask the actual problem.

More than likely its the ball joints, the factory ones are trash. Your larger tires are adding more strain on a poor component. Dynatrac makes the ball joints that will fix your problem.

I went through a very similar issue. The two dealerships in town had no idea how to resolve, told me it was a Jeep thing, etc. No help at all. This went on for months.

I ended up purchasing adjustable Lower control arms(get that caster up to 6.5 +/- degrees) , adjustable track bar and taking it to the best alignment shop town to install and properly check / torque every bolt.

The jeep drives perfect now… solid and no drifting on the freeway, no wable… has been 4 years of solid handling.

well worth the out of pocket money and no more hassle back and forth with dealership.

Hands down Teraflex, but you have a few HD options. The Teraflex can be adjusted as the Synergy can. Don't go for the "ball joint delete" thing. It's just as costly to rebuild as it is to slap new ones in. If your keeping for the long haul I'd look into steel knuckles as well.

Any recommendations for a stronger ball joint kit?

Getting the oil changed today. Tech said he would look at the ball joints. I just watched a part of a YouTube and he showed 30k stock joints. Probably going to have them replace the oem with those dynatrac joints when the replace the stabilizer.

Not to shame the DT joints but at half the cost and rebuild cost you could swap 2 to 3 sets of HD joints.

So unusual thing yesterday. It warmed up here in this part of the country. DW was more pronounced when the temp was in the single digits. Leaving the Adirondack’s yesterday it was in the high teens and on I-87 I hit a bridge joint at 70 and the wheel shook in a mild DW of about an inch or two either way that neither increased or decreased until I slowed down and it went away. Never had one stay constant like that. I am going to upgrade the ball joints soon and Stellantis is going to replace the stabilizer this week. You would not think it but it seems that is an up and down on that part and the new ones have a sticker so they get installed correctly.

So to follow up, this really seems to be a cold weather issue. It is in the single digits here today and the front end is getting a little wobbly. Not as bad as it was before. So it seems that FCA is never going to ship enough stabilizers to cover all the Jeeps with issues. Would it be prudent to just get a Fox racing unit to replace the stock one for now? It would look nice and match my Mopar lift shocks.

So, I have the same temp sensitive death wobble, and I replaced the steering damper with an aftermarket unit. It solved it for a while, but the death wobble is still there, and I suspect the temp sensitivity has more to do with the plastic on plastic bushings than the damper. I'm in the process of getting new ball joints.
