So, I have the same temp sensitive death wobble, and I replaced the steering damper with an aftermarket unit. It solved it for a while, but the death wobble is still there, and I suspect the temp sensitivity has more to do with the plastic on plastic bushings than the damper. I'm in the process of getting new ball joints.

I just installed a Fox TS this morning. There seems to be a little improvement but not dramatic. The re-torque of the lug nuts made more difference. Looking at HD ball joints next.
