I live in Orange County NY, specifically Warwick. While waiting for my JLR to arrive, I was wondering what good garages/shops there are in the Warwick NY/ Orange county or greater NYC area for work like lifts and the similar or are good sources of knowledge?

Half joking half serious, ask "Sr." from the infamous OCC choppers where he'd gets his vehicles (if not his motorcycles) done.

http://www.orangecountychoppers.com/
If you have his cell number Ill ask haha I have good connections with one of the largest car dealers in the area which have brothers in the name but I’d prefer to get more than anecdotal evidence of one family that can just throw tens thousands of dollars at anything they want.

Thanks! They look great. You recommend them? Are they competative/fair with pricing? I didn’t order through the Warwick Jeep dealer, I was given the best deal through Paramus, with the second best being Suresky in Goshen. Ive also had questionable experience with the Warwick Jeep’s parts and service department so that has put somewhat of a bad taste in my mouth.

I never had work done by them, but I went to them for some advice, and they were very helpful nd took time to talk to me., lol suresky gave me the best price with Paramus second. Warwick didn't want to budge at all.

Gotcha Ill check them out. Yeah same. warwick gave me invoice. Strange thing is when I initally spoke with Paramus they said they couldn’t beat or even match invoice, Suresky gave me about 2% below, Paramus gave me 3-3.5 but since then theyve been dropping the ball. They have yet to give me what the APR for financing through their banks vs mine. Its been 3 weeks and ive called numerous times and no one has returned my calls. Its a little ridiculous

Yeah you have to watch out for jersey dealerships some charge as much as 499.00 for doc fees. at least N.Y is set by law. also I told the dealer I was financing thru my credit union at 2.9% they said they'll see if they can match when I pick up. if the can great, if not I just go with my C.U.

They were fair on doc fees so i didn’t complain. Most likely will also be going through my CU but wanted to get all the information so I could have the loan through the CU all lined up when its delivered if im gonna go that route. More irritated with their customer service at this point but I finally got through to a manager tonight.

A group from the forum has set up an April 14th ride at Rausch Creek! Some of us will be wheeling April 15th too.

We have a group on the Rausch site called "JL Wrangler Forum Trail Ride". Feel free to log on and sign up!

It shows up as a blue 5 ride, but don't worry we won't wheel on anything beyond our weakest Jeep's capability.

All information on membership & fees can be found here: http://rc4x4.org/park-information/membership/.
Trail info can be found here: http://rc4x4.org/trail-system/. Also listed on that trail page are some phone apps that include the trail maps.
