I had posted this probably sometime last year I guess. There's no need to defend electric vehicles, you're doing exactly what the US government wants you too. I'm not against them and I'm not worried about more nuclear power plants, which have been around since the early 1950s. My point is; we are going to need more of them, the alternative is helping but it can't meet the demand. I posted a link below that I recently read. This is just general information no punt intended to anyone.

In 2020 the United States generated about four trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity. Some 60 percent of that came from burning fossil fuels, mostly natural gas, in some 10,000 generators, large and small, around the country. All of that electricity will need to be replaced—and more, because demand for electricity is expected to rise, especially if we power more cars with it.

Renewable energy sources like solar and wind have grown faster than expected; together with hydroelectric, they surpassed coal for the first time ever in 2019 and now produce 20 percent of U.S. electricity. In February the EIA (Energy Information Administration) projected that renewables were on track to produce more than 40% by 2050—remarkable growth, perhaps, but still well short of what’s needed to decarbonize the grid by 2035 and forestall the climate crisis. This daunting challenge has recently led some environmentalists to reconsider an alternative they had long been wary of; Nuclear Power.

From my profession, education, and research; If we stay on this course, I expect more Nuclear Power Plants. The future cost of electricity (2050 plus) compared to what we are currently paying for electricity? It was lightly mentioned, they might be remembered as " the days electricity was basically free."

I would humbly suggest that the term "fossil fuel" in itself is propaganda - the idea being that we get our fuel from fossils.
I know right. Fossil fuel: Coal, oil, natural gas formed in the earth from plants and animals.

A recent article reported more solar panels being added. Also mentioned NG, maybe they figured out sometimes the sun don’t shine. šŸ™„

Saw the topic and thought someone finally had some good info on a new engine selection for MY25 Wranglers.

You could get some major torque from electric motors powered by a nuclear power plant.

None... but it pays well.
If the people knew any better, they would revolt against what is preached. Data centers are an issue to power and global warming. They consume power constantly and require cooling, thus doubling what an average small city consumes in power and its effects on environment. Being all in on AI and Crypto Currency is going to make us closer to the red pill than you know. We are batteries... well, actually when power is critical consumers are last in the food chain. Tech's importantance outweighs it's impact. Which tech companies don't want you to understand.

I'm not sure I understand, are you saying you are worried nuclear will make electricity cost too much or demand will increase prices?

Nuclear power is artificially increased in price by government intervention. Unfortunately, the anti-nuclear propaganda of the last century was very effective on the public.

Don’t you just love the rich greenies promoting their electric cars and recycling as they pull into their massive 10,000 square foot home with 5 central heat/air units and giant kitchen with gas grills and stoves extra large fridge’s, swimming pools telling us peasants how we need to follow suit…do as I say not as I do šŸ˜Ž

Nah, I'm not worried about anything. All I'm saying is; to sustain the demand we'll more than likely need more nuclear power, windmills and solar aren't going to cut it and then I read that article I posted today.

You realize there is a 99.9% chance this forum (and all its sisters) are hosted at a data center?

Edit: For speed and reliability, often multiple data centers, but that’s not as likely as 999/1000.
