I have a 2018 JL Sport Unlimited and will be adding a few things as time ticks onward. I'll mainly use this thread to keep track of my progress. If you are looking for a pimped out rock crawler, this thread will not be for you :P

I mainly drive city roads and once a month or so I'll take it off road on easy to moderate trails. Nothing extreme.
  • 06-04-2018 - Purchased
  • 06-10-2018 - Picked up a set of take off JL Rubicon Wheels
  • 06-11-2018 - Scored a local set of take off JL Rubicon Rock Rails
  • Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac 255/75/R17
Photo at purchase (06-04-2018)

I'll add more photos and info as I go along.

Install dates for ordered items thus far
  • 06-13-2018: Warn Stubby Bumper
  • 06-14-2018: 255/75R17 Tires and Rubicon Wheels
  • 06-15-2018: Warn Winch and Rubicon Rock Rails
  • 06-19-2017: Gas Filler Door (as long as it arrives as scheduled)
I should have a more complete looking Jeep by Friday (06-15-2018) evening as the only item missing will be the gas filler door.

Thanks! I agree the wheels and tires make a huge difference -vs- the stock sport wheels. The tires look much more aggressive than the stock ones as well.

Next up the Rock Rails on Friday and my Fuel Filler Door next week. After that I am pretty much done for a few months...

Looks awesome! Great job. Wondering if you'll be mounting a hi-lift jack on the rear? Cant find a product on the market yet. Keep the pictures coming.

Not sure about the hi-lift jack. I had one on my TJ and once we have a way / place to mount it, I might..

Picking up my rock rails this morning then going to slap them on this afternoon. Should only take 20-30 minutes to get them installed and I'll post up some photos afterwards..

My Gas Filler Door came today... Happy early Fathers Day to me! Took all of 10 minutes to get installed..

Future plans:
Maybe - Not sure on these but possible.
  • Bull Bar for front bumper
  • Alarm System
  • Coil spacer lift (if needed as the suspension settles from the added bumper and winch weight) ** In another thread there was discussion about the added weight from the steel bumper and winch effecting the Sport and causing droop. After my install I only have 1/8" of drop as of now.
I am very happy with my additions and think the Jeep looks much better than when purchased. I've added some off road capability to it as well. Not a rock crawler or extreme off road machine by any means but that was not my intent..

Ordered Rough Country .75" front spacer leveling kit and getting it installed on the 25th. Should not only help level the Jeep but also account for the minor droop I got after adding the steel bumper and winch.

For $30, what the heck!

Excited to see how this looks, i notice those spacers are advertised for the JK's, but i guess it fits the JL just the same? I'll probably end up doing this myself, not a fan of the droop. Pictures of the process would be awesome! I wasn't planning on swapping out the front bumper anytime soon, but after seeing yours.. i might just have to now. Looks amazing.

Sorry, I had the incorrect link posted... I corrected it but here is the correct link to the JL spacers..
