Hey folks here is an example of the plastic oil pan I was expecting. I guess they changed to metal pan for the JL. I could have sworn though that pictures of the early prototypes also showed a plastic oil pan.



I hope we don't see more of these metal ones leaking.

first rule out that you as a human are doing everything right and find a pattern to recreate it

If it is defiantly not you but the jeep, obviously take it back in for service. The first thing I would check would be atf got into the plugs of the wiring harness, for the amount that you lost in the time you lost it while driving who knows where the wind took it. I have had a similar thing happen to my 04 Silverado, the neutral safety switch on the transmission is down wind from the oil filter so with a slight leak oil would creep its way into the plug. The transmission would claim it was in park, but the nss said it never changed gears so the computers would freak out and throw the transmission in neutral.
