hey Vince. only time its not 4wd when wheeling is when you get a tire in the air. If you Do NOT have LSD or a locker of some sort then the wheel in the air will receive all the power. now with modern jeeps all of them come with traction control which will help but its nothing close to a locker. now if in 4Lo traction control is turned off at least on mine thats what happens. now if you have the limited slip differential than your in pretty good shape. as one wheel in the rear spins it will activate the clutch pack and give power to the wheel that isn't spinning that has the traction. with the locker both wheels will be open differential type until you activate the locker which in turn gives you power to both wheels on that single axle whether it be the front or rear locker being activated. with all of this said you can always check you vin and get the build sheet which will tell you exactly what you got when the jeep was manufactured. there is a website to look that up on. or you can jack up the rear axle and spin one tire and if the other tire spins the same way you have the lsd axle. if they spin opposite of each other you have an open differential
Well said!! I dont know how to do the damn emoji thing... Yaaaaa!!!
