Hi everyone,
I just discovered this forum researching my new JL purchase. I'd be interested in joining that purchase group for CT. I'm based in Northern NJ. Let me know if its still happening and if there's any availability for another buyer to join in.
This group buy is over. Some have talked about seeing if they could start another one, but not sure if anyone has talked to Mark yet about it.

I spoke with Mark. He stated, "I might look at doing something similar to that in the winter time frame."

Mark was excellent! Fast and smooth. Couldn’t recommend them enough! Maybe I’ll pop in again in twenty years when I get a Hellcat Widebody

Agreed. I spent an hour checking mine out this afternoon but just about 20 min in paperwork and I was good to go. Kudos to Mark and his team for making this truly painless. I also sat in that Hellcat widebody

First Jeep, according to my son I’m now a “Newbicon”. Got my first Jeep wave on way home.

Hey everyone! Finally made it over to pick up my baby, thinking of naming her “Ursula”
What do you guys think?

:LOL:Absolutely, love my Jeep!!

A big thank you to Derek who was patient with our many questions and helped tremendously to help us “navigate” the many fun buttons and gizmos. Derek explained in humorous detail and gave us plenty of useful tips.

The transaction was THE smoothest EVER. It’s been a pleasure.

Thanks to everyone including of course Mark at Fitzpatrick :involve: (Ansonia, Ct) for a fantastic car buying experience.

On your way home, I assume taking the highway, was there steering wobble @ fast speeds?

Not at all, smooth ride, no wobble, took about 2 hours to drive home but it was a great day, sunny and warm

I’m not entirely sure. I did have to take the Merritt home so traffic was moving at 60+. I kept rpms below 4K but around 60 I did notice there was some “slop” in the steering. Maybe 5-10 degrees of range? I wouldn’t call it a wobble. (Certainly not a death wobble). And it may just be that’s how 33” off-road tires behave on rutted highways. I’m coming from a hot hatch so this obviously will drive differently.

I did lower the tire pressure at the dealer from 40-41 to 37 and may try dropping another psi or two.

Around town at slower speeds there was no such issue.

I did get 24mpg at mostly 55-65mph for my first 60 miles, so that’s a plus.

My Rubicon was rock solid on the drive home as far as steering - no wobble or any unexpected annoyances. Yes, I was putting a bit more input to keep it straight as compared to the Mazda 3 I traded, but I wouldn't say excessively so. I had also forgotten to air it down a bit as I intended to do after my wife and I had dinner in Ansonia.

As far as MPG I was averaging 17.6. I started off around 60mph but after the first hour or so I started to forget that I was trying to baby it and was pushing closer to 75 for the last two hours. I didn't realize until the next day that I never put it in 6th the whole way home! Hey, I was tired, it was a long day and coming from a 5 sp manual I forgot I had another gear, lol. Yesterday I drove about 40 miles on the highway and made sure to get into 6th and I was averaging closer to 19.
